Obituary of Sheila Mogus (1971 – 2021) – St. Augustine, FL
Sheila enjoyed spending her time camping, going to Disney World, watching Browns games, drinking coffee, and socializing with loved ones. Christmas was her favorite holiday because she loved to spoil the children.
Those who knew Sheila know that she was extremely generous with her time. She listened to us, helped us and always encouraged us to find solutions to our problems. She was quick to share all the skills she had whenever we needed her. She wanted everyone around her to feel happy, comfortable and loved. She absolutely loved to laugh with us and not take things too seriously. She couldn’t hold a grudge and it was often easy for her to forgive. No matter what we were going through or what we were struggling with, she was always there to support us and help us find our way back. She was easy going and very understanding. She had a very important role in the family, especially when things got messy. She was the person who put it all together and kept us going when we didn’t know who to turn to. We can all agree that she had the biggest heart. She was loved and in great need! Things won’t be the same without her, but we look forward to the day when we can see her again.
Sheila is survived by her 22 year old husband Billy Mogus; three children, Aaron Carl (Erica Carl), Ashley Gingerich and Britney Gingerich; six grandchildren, Landon, Lathan and Lillian Carl; Ryder and Kiley Penuel, and Richard Palmer; mother, Sherry Carl; father, Raymond Carl (Mary Carl); stepmother; Diana Riley; four siblings; Chet Carl (Tara Carl), Jennifer Downs (Jonathan Downs), Melissa Carl and Libby Thomas (Ray Thomas); sister-in-law, Carol Mogus; nieces and nephews, Josie Board, Gavin Downs, Ellie, Max and Huntleigh Carl, Wesley and Willow Fong and Ava Fern, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, dear friends and neighbors.
