  • Operating profit: US$365.4 million (KRW 474.2 billion) (+18.15% YoY)
  • Net profit: US$338.4 million (KRW 439.2 billion) (+30.97% YoY)

  • Revenue: US$326.5 million (KRW 423.7 billion) (-7.77% YoY)
  • Operating profit: US$125 million (KRW 162.3 billion) (-6.81% YoY)
  • Net profit: US$149.4 million (KRW 194 billion) (+37.26% YoY)

CONTRIBUTING FACTORSKRAFTON’s mobile business recorded revenue of USD 550.7 million (KRW 715.6 billion) in the first half of 2022. Launched four years ago, PUBG MOBILE currently ranks second in sales among global mobile games. The company continues to deliver new content and gaming experiences through its multitude of IP collaborations. To ensure a fairer playing field for everyone, the game has also adopted stricter anti-cheat programs. KRAFTON’s other mobile title, NEW MOBILE STATE, continued to evolve, refocusing the way it maintains the live service and expanding its IP collaboration efforts. Therefore, NEW MOBILE STATETotal reading time and reading frequency increased in Q2 2022.

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, which is available on PC and consoles, recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. The game, which switched to a free-to-play business model in January 2022, has seen a steady influx of over 80,000 new users per day. As a result, average revenue per user (ARPU) across all platforms increased by more than 20% QoQ. International markets (excluding South Korea) generated 94% of gaming revenue during the second quarter of 2022.
